Autumn in the northwest is one of the most tranquil times of the year. The colors are just starting to turn in the foliage, but we are usually lucky enough to enjoy a month or two of extended warmth after Labor Day weekend. The crisp fall air, mixed with the beautiful sunshine, creates some of the most stunning visuals, especially on Lake Coeur d’Alene.
Even though the typical summer activities have started to close up, there are still ways to enjoy the lake, and see the sights of the town.
Through the first few weeks of September, we offer sunset dinner cruises for two hours every evening. Nothing is more relaxing, or more unique, than watching the sun sink behind the mountains, as our professional chefs prepare a delightful dinner buffet.
The chefs at the Coeur d’Alene Resort are some of the best, and their meals can’t be beat. You can enjoy steamship round of beef and baked King salmon, three cheese au gratin potatoes, summer green and pasta salad, and sunset cheesecake.
If you’re looking for one final way to say goodbye to summer, and usher in fall with style, seeing the lake at sunset is the only way to go. The season will go quickly, so don’t hesitate to enjoy the last of the warm weeks.
